Filmdation – Oscars 2015

My colleague at work is a movie fiend and is constantly suggested to make a film review show. Well she did!
You’ve got… Filmdation is the pilot episode.

I assisted with the production in a shooting capacity, being a panel of 3 people discussing the films and their predictions for the 2015 Academy Awards, we needed to have individual and group coverage.

Editing, graphics and I believe music produced by her husband, while mine assisted on set as a production assistant.

International Students Preparation Package

University of Newcastle, International Office was looking to produce a selection of videos for incoming international students. About the moving process, visa and immigration details, and general need-to-know interest about Australia.

I assisted by travelling to Newcastle for two days of shooting around the University of Newcastle campus, Newcastle’s beaches, shopping and nightlife. Using current international students as actors, it was great to hear about their experiences in Australia and their love for the university.

These images were used in the below videos for their incoming student package.

Awakening – Fashion Collection

Assisting Deb of Deeski with second camera operation for Plague of Man and the Awakening Collection SS2014 fashion shoot. Designer Madison Tyler creates a dark but feminine range contrasting delicate white with dark vegan leather.

Shooting on Bronte Beach from sunset and into the night, the endless black of the moonlit ocean and the slick, shimmering seaside rocks gave quite a setting. As the night progressed and the tide came in we constantly had to move our gear up the beach. By the end of the evening the poor model had been frozen, wet, sandy and mildly stung by a blue bottle.

Despite the struggles the results are quite spectacular. Deb’s rhythm and use of music really pull the shoot together. I really love shooting for fashion and hope to get more into the post side of things in the coming years.
